Würth IT supports seven volunteer projects as part of its fundraising campaign: EUR 3,500 for a good cause

Würth IT supported a total of seven voluntary projects as part of this year's fundraising campaign. Employees of the company were able to suggest projects and then vote on the distribution of donations. The result shows that commitment and solidarity are firmly anchored in the corporate culture.

Background to the fundraising campaign

The annual donation campaign is an integral part of Würth IT's social commitment. The aim is to promote charitable initiatives and thus make a contribution to society. This year, 31 projects were submitted that are characterized by voluntary commitment and sustainable impact.

"I am delighted with the large number of projects submitted and the active participation of our employees in the vote. This proves that we are happy to take responsibility – even beyond the workplace!" says Marion Betz, Managing Director of Würth IT.

The sponsored organizations

Each of the organizations was supported with 500 euros. The selected initiatives cover a wide range of social issues. This year they include:

  • Bad Mergentheim Animal Shelter
For more than 70 years, the animal welfare organization has been committed to providing many animals with a loving home.
  • Childrens Help Deutsche Lebensbrücke
The association is committed to combating child poverty, supporting seriously ill children and helping families in need.
  • Treptow-Köpenick Community Foundation
The foundation focuses on promoting community-based projects, strengthening the community and supporting respectful coexistence.
  • Hohenlohe Animal Welfare Association
They run an animal shelter, support foster homes and finance the necessary neutering of free-roaming cats.
  • Network against right-wing extremism Heilbronn e.V.
The network is committed to a society based on solidarity without hatred and exclusion and helps with education and networking.
  • Animal welfare organization Schorndorf and surroundings e.V.
With its voluntary work for animal welfare, the association places over 500 animals with new animal lovers every year.
  • KIWI e.V.
This registered association is committed to helping children in the intensive care unit at Würzburg University Hospital and also supports their families and the nursing staff.

"With this fundraising campaign, we want to honor the voluntary commitment of our employees and at the same time make a contribution to society. The diversity of the projects shows how strongly our teams at the various locations are committed to social and charitable issues," explains Dr. Thomas Burkhart, Executive Vice President IT of the Würth Group.
